First annual what???  Yes, Cornhole. On July 30th, 2011, SportsSignup hosted its first annual Cornhole Tournament in lovely Saratoga Springs for the members of the SportsSignup team and their families.

Cornhole is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing cornhole bags (cotton duck bags filled with feed corn) at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Play continues until a player reaches the score of 21.  It’s a fun and very challenging game.  Learn more about this rising star of a game at the American Cornole Association’s website.

Here are a few shots of the action:

And the winner is…. Dave Jones!  Yes, yes…there was some tough competition, especially coming from the under 16 age bracket in the Giller clan (son of account exec. Paul Giller), but Mr. Jones ended up taking the tournament.  His prize?  The SportsSignup Cornhole set!  All were envious!
