On October 18th and 19th SportsSignup sponsored a company-wide training session, allowing our employees to get their certification in CPR/AED/First Aid. SportsSignup knows the importance of CPR/AED/First Aid training because of all the work we do with sports organizations. While no one wants to see a youth athlete hurt playing the game they love, accidents do happen. SportsSignup realizes that knowing what to do in an emergency situation can make all the difference. We want to prepare our employees as best as possible.

Here is a brief overview of the safety training session completed by SportsSignup employees:

  • First Aid: Participants learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies.
  • CPR Adult: Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults.
  • AED: Participants learn how to use automatic external defibrillators.

Jodi Murphy, SportsSignup’s Director of Marketing says, “Our focus here at SportsSignup is working with sports organizations from youth to adult and we recognize the importance of medical emergency training.  Bringing this certification program into the office allowed us to give our employees the confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life.”
