As part of SportsSignup initiative to be more involved with the community, SportsSignup has partnered with Shaker High School in Latham, NY to be an offsite company that supports their business education department’s externship program, C.E.I.P.

Career Exploration Internship Program, (C.E.I.P.), is a ½-unit elective course being offered at Shaker High School to 12th grade students. Students enrolled in this course will intern in a non-paid work experience area that is of interest to the student. Students will spend 54 hours in an internship placement and 27 hours in classroom instruction. The experience is designed to allow students to obtain an awareness of what it’s like to work in one or more careers and to learn what skills and education are needed for specific careers. They also observe positive adult role models and learn about attitudes, integrity & ethics, human relations, teamwork, timeliness and good study habits

The Shaker High School Business Education Department is part of The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program, which is designed to give students the opportunity to explore what they want to do when they get into the “real” world, and provide them the means necessary to go out and actually experience it.

SportsSignup employees are proud to mentor Shaker seniors interested in the fields of sports marketing, sports management, software development and other related fields.
