Original Post 12/20/08: Over the past several weeks, major new outlets have aired stories alleging financial issues with an online registration service provider. Also, some national-level sports organizations, including Little League International, have put their membership on notice that some companies providing online registration services are having financial difficulties and “have not provided the funds paid by parents to the local league as advertised.”

In response to this, here are some important facts about SportsSignup:

  • To our knowledge, these reports/allegations are limited to a single company, and League Sports Services LLC (dba SportsSignup) is in no way connected or related to this company.

  • SportsSignup’s credit card processing service is fundamentally different from the company in question. Our customers own and maintain their own independent Merchant Account. Funds paid by credit card using the SportsSignup system are cleared by the credit card processing company and deposited directly to your organization’s bank account.

  • SportsSignup’s business is financially very strong. We operate a profitable, growing business that will continue to invest in better solutions and services for sports organizations.

As with any product or service, we strongly recommend that your organization do proper diligence when selecting an online registration services provider.

Regards,

Anthony Bruno, CEO
